Int’l students face new fees

Summary:
“Clinic charges $100 per year for UHIP holders”—Excalibur News
A new policy was created by York Lanes Health Centre, and it will start this September. According to this plan, the international students who visit the clinic have to pay a $100 fee. Because some of them think that it is more complicated to send the bills, in other words, the center can send the OHIP card holder’s bill to the government, but for UHIP people, they have to send it to their insurance carrier. The doctor of the Health Centre Jatinder S. Dhillon said that they give the student a choice, they can still go there, but they have sent a claim to the insurance company by themselves. However, an international student thinks the Centre is just trying to steal more money and they should stop, most of them think that they already pay a higher tuition and the policy is a serious issue.
Response:
As an international student, I think that the Health Centre is irresponsible, because we have already paid so much tuition, and I hope we can regard to the parts of this beautiful school, and I don’t think we are different with the student who has the OHIP card. We have the common objective which is learn more advanced knowledge.
